The following are highlights of past projects:

Digital Arts Symposium 2005-2007
A regional gathering of invited participants featuring nationally recognized panelists and keynote speaker on issues in contemporary digital arts.
 
   
Internet 2 Performing Arts Forum 2004-2007
Internet 2 collaborations between the NCSA School of Music, the New World Symphony Orchestra, and others, exploring remote, live master classes, workshops and perfomances.

 

Shakespeare Lives! 1997-2006
Shakespeare Lives!, a nationally recognized teacher development program, is designed to give public high school and middle school English teachers tools to make Shakespeare's writings come alive in the classroom.
 
   
The Consortium for the Liberal Education of Artists (CLEA) 1993-2004

An initiative created to fill a longstanding need to build a connection amongst liberal arts educators teaching in performing arts conservatories, and to sustain this connection through biennial conversations.
 
   
NCSA Performing Arts Management Program 2002-2005

The Kenan Institute assisted in planning and establishing a new graduate program at UNCSA.

 

The A+ Schools Program 1994-2003
A comprehensive school reform begun in 1994 that views the arts as fundamental to how teachers teach and how students learn in all subjects.  This program is no operated by the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

 

Conservatory Leadership Conference 2002, 2007
The Kenan Institute and NCSA hosted the first national conference of conservatory leaders in 2002.  A second convening took place in 2007.
